Dive Paradise has the largest fleet of dive boats on the island, including two 44-foot dive boats that can accommodate larger groups and smaller fast boats that take anywhere from six to 10 passengers. The dive operation has also added nondiving experiences to its offerings. Guests can snorkel with whale sharks, do a jungle adventure on the mainland or dive a cenote.

Cozumel is a world-class destination that’s very easy to get to for many divers in the United States. The coral reef that wraps around the island is part of the Mesoamerican Reef, the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. Depending on a diver’s skill level and preferences, there are a variety of dive sites, from breathtaking drop-offs to shallow coral gardens. Some sites offer a gentle current in a protected location, while more advanced sites offer a much faster drift-diving experience. The island offers an abundance of marine-life riches, including exciting swim-throughs decorated with corals and sponges, ledges where nurse sharks like to nap, and frequent encounters with sea turtles. The Dive Paradise team is highly committed to protecting Cozumel’s underwater treasures and works with the scientific community to make sure the operation remains a good steward of the reef.
If someone in your family or group wants to learn to dive, the dive professionals at Dive Paradise can help tailor a certification program that’s perfect for them— from a Discover Scuba Diving experience to full Open Water Diver certification. Instructors also offer refresher courses, a wide variety of specialties, such as rescue and nitrox, and Divemaster training.
Dive Paradise has a waterfront main office and two beach locations, at Hotel Cozumel and Club de Playa Villablanca. The hotel shops have private gear lockers and seaside docks for dive boat pickups and drop-offs. Playa Villablanca is also where Dive Paradise hosts sunset parties for guests. Dive Paradise boats pick up guests at their hotel and transport them to Playa Villablanca, where the staff serves a home-cooked taco meal while guests enjoy a stunning island sunset.
