Scuba Diving experienced a double win with the 2018 class of inductees to the Women Divers Hall of Fame: They include our editor-in-chief Patricia Wuest and Imaging columnist Erin Quigley.
Wuest joined Scuba Diving in 1992 as an assistant editor; in 2013 she was named editor-in-chief of Scuba and its sister publication, Sport Diver.

“WDHOF connects, nurtures and inspires female divers involved in all aspects of the industry — it’s an incubator and a force for our industry’s leaders and ocean stewards of tomorrow,” Wuest says. “Who wouldn’t want to be a part of something that is capable of so much?”
Quigley is a teacher and award-winning photographer, and the first Adobe ACE-certified expert to focus specifically on postproduction techniques for underwater photographers. She joined the magazine in 2015, writing a regular column on photo correction tips and techniques.
“It’s a great surprise, a great honor, and a great obligation to encourage and inspire other women in the field of diving,” says Quigley.
Founded in 1999, WDHOF is an international nonprofit professional honor society dedicated to recognizing women divers across fields, including science, exploration, education, media, the arts and military diving. It is comprised of more than 200 members from 18 countries.
