Be a Secret Diver/Snorkeler for CORAL and help protect reefs

Do you want to be a reef friendly diver or snorkeler? Do you want to help eliminate tourism damage to Caribbean reefs? If you have a dive or snorkel trip planned for one of the listed locations in March or April, you can help protect the reefs from trampling, anchor damage, and unsustainable collecting.

Belize: Belize City, Placencia, San Pedro
Mexico: Cancun, Cozumel, Playa dal Carmen, Puerto Morales
Honduras: Roatan, Utila

Tourism businesses in these areas have agreed to help CORAL test a set of sustainable marine tourism business practices that will eradicate current tourism threats. We need "Secret Divers and Snorkelers" to give an unbiased opinion on the standard's daily use to ensure that these standards are affordable, attainable, and effective for everybody.

Participation is simple. Bring a CORAL checklist with you on your vacation and let us know how the standards are being used.

For more information please contact Program Manager, Rich Wilson at 415.834.0900 x307 or rwilson@coral.org.

Thank you for being a reef-friendly tourist!
