ScubaLab Mask Tests 2011: Tilos Panoramic SG

Tilos Panoramic SG

Tilos Panoramic SG
Tilos’ patented Panoramic design technology — the “2G” in its name refers to “second generation” — makes the glass joint to the side windows seemingly invisible to the diver. ScubaLab testers agreed, and also found that the channeled skirt deflects exhaust bubbles. The buckles are attached to the frame, and testers characterized the skirt as stiff, but liked the feeling of solidity it gave to the seal. The Panoramic was easy to clear and equalize, and it was an easy-to-fit mask that provides a wide field of view on the surface and at depth. Its vertical combined score was among the best in this review.

GOOD FOR
Photographers; divers who might feel claustrophobic
