Mares announces plans to participate in DEMA show 2009

Norwalk, CT (July 24, 2009) Mares Diving is pleased to announce their return to the DEMA show 2009. Phil Mintz, Vice President, Mares Diving Division of Head USA, today announced Mares Diving would attend the DEMA Show 2009. Mares has decided to attend DEMA Show for the following reasons.

  • We have received many requests from our valued customers wanting to participate in the Mares Lab Program. This program has been highly successful in training technicians to service Mares products. We typically book all available seats at DEMA and feel it is our obligation to make this course available.
  • With the introduction of two new “first” products, we feel it is important to have these represented at the DEMA Show. Mares has introduced the X-Stream fin and the ICON HD Computer, our first Full Color LCD TFT computer with features not seen in any other Dive Computer today.
  • In response to Mares and many other equipment manufacturers’ feelings about the show, DEMA has taken pro-active steps to bring us together and work on providing the needed value to attendees and exhibitors, in this changing economic and technological climate. That process has begun.
“DEMA is very pleased that manufacturers such as Mares are supporting their retail customers at DEMA Show,” said Tom Ingram, DEMA's Executive Director. “In this economic climate, and under the tough circumstances in which all dive retailers are currently operating, it is a tribute to Mares that they recognize the need to support their dealers, provide educational programming to the retail staff, and make it easy to see the new products coming from Mares’ factories. This support for DEMA Show will also help promote recreational diving through DEMA’s continued marketing efforts, and is important for the entire industry.” Details on the times and locations for the Mares Lab Program at DEMA will be announced in the near future. Mares Diving will be located in Booth 1841, we look forward to seeing all Dive Retailers in November.
