DeepFlight Submarine, Flying Underwater

It is being hailed as the Learjet of the oceans; DeepFlight submarines are opening the door for a new era of ocean exploration and recreation.

Led by industry pioneer, Graham Hawkes, DeepFlight has spent the last twenty years innovating their submarines through five different series of working prototypes. The companies flagship submarine, the DeepFlight Super Falcon, features their patented wing design, which offers the experience of underwater flight and the safety of an automatic return to the surface.

"While humans have long dreamed of flying machines, we have actually realized this dream by building craft that fly underwater," DeepFlight's Founder and CEO, Graham Hawkes, said in a press release. "With the DeepFlight, we wanted people to fully enjoy the experience of flying a submarine on their own. After all, no one buys a sports care and then gives the keys to a chauffeur."

Conventional submarines use complex ballast and dropweight systems to get heavy and sink, where the DeepFlight craft are positively buoyant and operate on the principles of flight.

"We have made a giant leap forward in enabling underwater recreation and exploration, and are delighted to feature our product at the GoPro DEMA booth. We now offer the lowest weight and lowest profile personal submarines available, and the only craft that offers both hover and flight capabilities," President of DeepFlight, Adam Wright, said in a press release. "We believe our DeepFlight submarines will open the market for subsea recreation at a large scale and atincipate that you will soon be seeing DeepFlight craft at more resort and marina locaitons around the world."
