Tidal Single Lens Mask: ScubaLab Testers Choice

Scubalab tested six new single-lens masks in a head-to-head evaluation. The Tidal Mask is our Testers Choice for 2025.

ScubaLab tested masks in the field at Alexander Springs Recreation Area in Central Florida. We evaluated masks based on the ease and security of adjustments, as well as the overall comfort in the water. We also rated masks on their field of view, the effectiveness of their seals in keeping our faces dry, and how easy they were to clear and equalize.

Test divers loved this mask’s special anti-fog film which provides a crystal-clear view without the need of additional de-fogging products. They also enjoyed how it complemented the mask’s natural field of view. “I’m obsessed,” one diver admitted after testing.

The soft silicone skirt has large sealing surfaces, which resulted in a very comfortable and dry fit on all our test divers. However, some divers did note it felt tight under the nose. The skirt holds its shape well in flow.

Divers felt the optional lens tint on our sample was a little dark, even during shallow, sunny dives.

The Single Lens Tidal Mask scored very good across the board and was a favorite of test divers, earning it our Testers Choice for single-lens masks.
