Palm Beach County, Florida, is great for diving artificial reefs. There, a large collection of purpose-sunk ships and other structures continues to grow, and in many places you can visit more than one site per dive thanks to their close proximity to one another. Such is the case for the Danny and Andrea's Reef. Check out this two-for-one dive in the video below.

The Danny was purpose-sunk as an artificial reef in 2013, just north of the Lake Worth Inlet. The 130-foot tugboat was originally called the Pocahontas, but was renamed to memorialize the short life of local teen Danny McCauley. It sits in only 85 feet of water with many large openings that let in plenty of light — and fish. You can find grouper, angelfish and more hanging around inside.

Andrea's Reef is located right next to the Danny. This artificial reef is made up of a number of underwater statues; you'll find roman columns, treasure chests, sea turtles, stingrays and a life-sized mermaid sculpture. The inspiration for the mermaid's design — and the name of the reef — comes from local three-time breast cancer survivor Andrea Torrente. This artificial reef was put in place in August, 2016.

Originally Andrea's statue was due east of the Danny, but as we found out during our dive after Hurricane Matthew in the video above, things don't always stay how you left them. We thought Andrea's Reef had shifted from midship to stern, but were surprised to learn after corroborating our notes at the surface that the ship had moved as well!
