Whale Shark and Marine Conservation Program
Whale Shark and Marine Conservation Program
Hosted by Whale Shark & Oceanic Research Center
The Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center (WSORC) is happy to announce that it will be offering a series of Whale Shark and Marine Conservation Program weeks. Participants will embark on whale shark snorkel trips where they will not only get the chance to cross an amazing experience off their bucket list, but also help researchers collect valuable data on this enigmatic gentle giant. Included in the week will be workshops and presentations on many aspects of marine conservation. They will participate in reef health surveys, learn how to identify the myriad of fish species that are found in the Bay Islands, conduct fish surveys and contribute to a global sightings database. All activities and lectures will be run by our resident marine biologists at WSORC.
2015 Dates:
Feb. 21 to 28
March 14 to 20
April 18 to 24
May 16 to 22
Aug. 8 to14
Oct. 3 to 9
For more information, contact WSORC at 855-846-3483 or discovery@wsorc.org.
*By joining WSORC on these weeks, you will be contributing towards WSORC’s short and long term conservation, education and research goals.
