North Palm Beach, Wetter the Better

The West Palm Beach area was beautiful for Labor Day weekend. Perfect weather. Dove with "The Wetter the Better" out of the North Palm Beach marina. Travel arrangements made by Dave Ochs of Aqua Safari Adventures. Captain Bill Walker and crew were very accommodating and attentive, although the clean boat was full (about 20 well-behaved divers, with 2 guides in the water) for the holiday weekend.

The usual amenities: water, ice-cold sodas, and fresh pineapple slices.

Highlights of the eight dives in two days:

1. The Corridor: Hardly any current (first time ever for that); warm water; superb vis. "Goliath Groupers" everywhere on the Mizpah. At least 10 of them. Did the usual, drifting (actually, swimming) over to the PC1170 and the Amaryllis. Wildlife everywhere.

2. The Trench. Yes, the Trench. Yes, been there, done that, and went there twice in 2 days, but with a camera I could go there again and again for the rest of my life. I think Breakers Reef and its environs are fantastic.
