Pot Luck dinner and dance

We arrived at Marsh Harbor early afternoon and joined up with friends to take a ferry to Guana Cay Abaco Island. Its a small Island and you can walk or rent a golf cart to get around, we walked mostly as needed the exercise.

They did something I've never seen on any other place I visited- the Island (Grabbers Bar) threw a pot luck dinner and dance!! Open to all, just bring a dish to pass and music if you want to play it. The food was good and plentyful and the rum punch was pretty good also. The night was a lot of fun!

We dove with Dive Guana, captained by owner Troy and crewed by Rudi. I liked the boat, not crowded, good rinse hoses and nice platform with a good size ladder. You could pass up your weights or your bc if you wanted, Rudi left it up to you. He also rinsed and set up all equipment every morning and dryed and put it away every afternoon. I would say Troy and Rudi were a good dive op.

As for the dives, we missed one day because of weather and stayed in protected side of island and reefs the next day. Most of the dives were shallower than a lot I've done but still saw things I've never seen before (first time to bahamas for me) so it was all new. Not the best I've seen but not the worst I've done either. We were never rushed on dive time just have 500psi when surfaceing. He took us to his friends (groupers) and they were camera hogs. Saw some sharks also, a few swim through, overall good dives

We had a good time above and below water. I would go back and I would dive there again. I might check out dive sites and request sites from Troy which my impression is he would accommodate. The water temp was in low 70s and air temp was mid 70s to mid 80s. a little windy a couple of days, but we are from Michigan so the weather was GREAT! Hope this helps anyone going to Guana Cay.
