PERFORMANCE
The IQ-850 builds on Tusa’s already loaded IQ-800 by adding a dot-matrix tissue compartment/message display window at the top edge of the main display. The dot-matrix display shows nitrogen-saturation levels with a detailed graph indicating gas loading and offloading, and displays messages, such as a safety-stop countdown. The system also includes a unique vibrating-alarm system to supplement visual and audible cues, a feature testers really liked. While ease of setting system parameters was not as intuitive as the testers would have liked, they rated its main data display highly.

Moderate to conservative in most of our objective test profiles. There are three user-adjustable safety factors.

The IQ-850 will appeal to divers looking for a functional, unique computer.
