Ocean Fest Celebrates it's 12th Anniversary, April 18, 19 & 20


The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and the Chambers Beach Council will once again this year sponsor the Ocean Fest Dive & Adventure Sports Expo, a complete dive and adventure sports expo-taking place on Fort Lauderdale Beach on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 18, 19 and 20. Exhibits, vendors, shows, demonstrations and more will be found under the tents lining the beachfront along A1A south of Las Olas, North of the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel.

This event will feature over 100 dive and adventure sports related exhibits under giant tents at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to the dive exhibits, there will be food and beverage vendors, live bands on the beach, free seminars, raffles, underwater treasure hunts, a silent auction and thousands of dollars in prizes given away!

In an effort to introduce the sport to new participants, there will be free scuba introductory courses taught at the DEMA Pool. For the experienced divers, there will be an underwater Treasure Hunt held on Saturday for dive boats and Sunday for shore divers.

Events are planned starting at 5PM until 9PM on Friday, April 18, from 10AM to 6PM on Saturday, April 19 and from 10AM to 4PM on Sunday, April 20. A Full schedule of events, seminars, entertainment, exhibitors and more can be found on Ocean Fest's website, www.oceanfest.com.

Tickets are priced at $9.00 per person per day with a 3 Day discounted passes for $19.00 per person. Children under 12 are FREE. A part of the proceeds from Ocean Fest will benefit numerous non-profit and environmental organizations.
