Dive BVI announces a new WRECK WEEK package for dive travelers to the British Virgin Islands
After a very exciting and fun-filled Wreck Week in 2009, we are proud to present Dive BVI’s 2nd annual Wreck Week June 12-19, 2010. Featuring some of the best wrecks in the Caribbean such as the world famous RMS Rhone which went down in 1867, the Japanese fishing freighter Chikuzen, and Wreck Alley, divers are sure to get their photo and critter fix while in the BVI. We’ll examine the historical significance behind these treasures and dive the reefs that sent some of them to their watery graves. Dive BVI invites you to enjoy our island and the stunning dives that surround her shores. This very special Wreck Week Package brings divers to a relaxing place where history and beauty supply the backdrop for camaraderie and adventure! This event package includes 7 nights stay at the beautiful Guavaberry Spring Bay Vacation Homes situated between the famous Baths and Spring Bay. 5 Days of fantastic boat dives that showcase the BVI’s underwater diversity and phenomenal wrecks. The 14 dives scheduled are 10 dives over 5 mornings, 2 afternoon dives, and 2 night dives. We’ve stocked up on cool refreshments and we’ll supply the transportation to and from our dive center. A continental style breakfast buffet is provided for you each dive morning to prepare you for each adventurous day! Your crew will also serve a picnic lunch onboard for 2 of our diving days while anchored in a secluded tropical cove lined with white sand beaches. Wait! It doesn’t stop there! The week also has 4 exciting party events. Upon arriving, you’ll be treated to a cocktail party poolside to meet and greet fellow wreck divers and your crew. You get a fantastic gift bag with lots of cool goodies and a Wreck Week t-shirt to wear with pride! We also invite you to be our guest at a Pizza Party & Movie Night featuring “The Deep” - in which the local wreck RMS Rhone has a starring role! The last night will be an extra special treat as we host a Beach BBQ while the sun sets on the water. The beach party will also be our site for the week’s awards ceremony with prizes from Scubapro, Underwater Kinetics, and SeaLife Cameras! All of this fun starts at only $1425 per diver!
