"The Cove" wins an Oscar

The acclaimed film The Cove won an Oscar in the Documentary Feature category last night during the 82nd Academy Awards. It is the first film from the Oceanic Preservation Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to using photography and film to inspire change to help preserve the world’s oceans. The Cove tells a heart-wrenching tale of the dolphin capture process. In the film, renowned photographer Louie Psihoyos leads a team into a secret cove in Japan using an array of gadgetry, spy and thermal cameras and unmanned drones to uncover the atrocities committed against dolphins there.
