Video: Expedition Team Reaches 460-foot Depth on Texas Cave Dive
A team of scientists led by leading cave biologist and Texas A&M Galveston professor Dr. Tom Lliffe recently explored the depths of Phantom Springs Cave, Texas, reaching depths of 460 feet on their seven-hour expedition, with no end in sight.
"It's a special kind of people who do these very deep dives and it's very, very different from normal recreational scuba diving. Nothing like it at all," Iliffe told KBTX-TV of Bryan/College Station, Texas.
