A Passion for Adventure

When our destinations started reopening in July of last year, I wondered how many of us were passionate enough to meet the new standards of traveling. Like me, most of you have hundreds of flights and traversing numerous new airports under your belt. This was still going to be an interesting time to travel with potential new hurdles to be concerned about.
The great news is after I completed my first flights, a week-long adventure, and then returned home, looking back on the new rules and regulations had minimal effect on the stresses we sometimes encounter during our travels. It was like finding your way through a new international airport. Once you realized it was easier than expected, it became part of the adventure itself!
A major global consumer survey recently found that once people started traveling again, they found the same sentiment. Once you had your first adventure, you became more confident in continuing to add more travel to your calendar. Of course, we all want to be sure we are utilizing trusted companies and brands with detailed procedures in place to help overcome our concerns.

Since the return to travel, I have been to Egypt twice and Belize three times. I was very happy that our Clean, Refresh and Sanitize policies and procedures were in place and followed. It was such a relief for me to indulge my passion for adventure once again. I had been so busy steering the company and all our destinations through the pandemic that I had forgotten just how much I enjoy travel. Every guest I interacted with or spent a week with onboard had that same sense of reassurance that the world could be back to normal.
Of course, everyone has their reasons or concerns for postponing travel but I hope if yours is limited to the wearing of masks or testing, it quickly becomes just another part of fulfilling your passion for adventure!
