Dive News: Aggressor Announces new Scuba Destination in Raja Ampat

The Aggressor Fleet of liveaboards has announced that it will extend its service to Raja Ampat beginning August 2015.

The move comes alongside the acquisition of a new 100-foot steel yacht, the Raja Ampat Aggressor. The new ship has accommodations for 16 guests, and boasts a sundeck, salon, dive deck with camera tables, rinse decks, gear lockers, nitrox refills, an onboard chef, and around-the-clock service from the ship’s 13 crewmembers. Each passenger suite is air-conditioned, with a large picture window or porthole, and a private bathroom.

“As Chairman and CEO of Aggressor Fleet & Dancer Fleet, one of the most important parts of business is to explore new destinations for our guests,” said Wayne Brown, the fleet’s CEO. “We are extremely excited to announce the all-new Raja Ampat Aggressor starting in August 2015.”

The Raja Ampat Aggressor will offer service to Raja Ampat, Cenderawasih Bay, Banda Sea and Triton Bay. Raja Ampat, located at the heart of a bustling aquatic ecosystem called The Coral Triangle, is said to boast one of the most diverse reef ecosystems in the world. The area comprises over 1500 islands, and is home to 600 types of coral, 1,500 species of fish and over 600 types of mollusk.

“Some of our busiest times are when we launch to a new destination,” Brown said. “From ensuring our yacht support is in place, staff are trained … and that the new yacht owners understand the high level of service have come to expect from the Aggressor and Dancer Fleet.”

Aggressor Fleet and Dancer Fleet have 18 dive yachts in Alor, Bahamas, Belize, Cayman Islands, Cocos Island, Costa Rica (2 yachts), Dominican Republic, Fiji, Galapagos, Hawaii, Komodo, Maldives, Palau (2 yachts), Thailand, Tiger Beach, Turks & Caicos, Red Sea and now Raja Ampat. Reservations can be made online at http://www.aggressor.com, with a travel specialist, or by calling 800-348-2628 or +1-706-993-2531.
