Great First Time Trip

We arrived at the Bonaire airport very early in the morning of September 1st 2007. After a very long wait to get our bags, we were off in our very own truck to Plaza Resort. When we arrived at the resort we were treated very well and was told our room was ready a little bit after breakfast. Our room was fantastic!!

My next step was to go diving...and right off shore not 30 steps from our room was super great diving. Needless to say I was in Heaven. All the diving in Bonaire is shore diving and I made the most of all that. My wife and friends that came with us snorkeled while myself and my buddy dove. We even dived the wreck, the Hilma Hooker.

The second night we were there we were asked to move to another room as hurricane Felix was bearing down on us. So we moved to another room. At approx. 2:00am we could hear Felix outside our room...What an experience. The next morning we walked around to find that not much had been torned up. Diving resumed at about 4:00pm and I dove the backyard of Plaza Resort.

On another day I did a boat dive with Toucan diving at "1000 Steps" very good reef and lots of fish. I buddied up with a young fellow of which this was his first boat dive. He was a good buddy. Again one of many wonderful dives.

The Toucan diving personal are second to none and very professional. Always there to help in anyway they can and their attention to detail is second to none. Their there to make your diving as much fun and ease as possible. I myself as a PADI instructor highly recommend these wonderful divemasters and instructors to anyone.

Our stay in Bonaire was great! We plan on going again when my daughter grads. from law school. The only thing negative about the whole trip were the no see ums. They were bad. And folks that all I have on this wonderful trip.
