My family and I took a 5-day cruise during December 2007, Cozumel was one of our day-stops. Having experienced a cruiseline dive excursion in Key West Florida, I decided to book a dive trip with a local operator to avoid the rushed dive trip.

I conducted research of numerous dive operators in Cozumel via the Web. After comparing various dive operators cost and fees, I booked "Dive with Cristina" 2-tank dive for $75 per diver, park fees and lunch included. Other dive operators posted basic fees, park fees, lunch, etc as additional costs. The decission to dive with Cristina was the best choice I made this vacation. All reservations were handled online with Cristina.

Our dive was relaxed and professional with no rush to get in or out of the water. Three of our five divers had their own equipment, the rental BCD's and regulators were in good shape. our surface interval was 1 - 1 1/2 hours and we were provided with a local spread of tortillas, cheese, coldcuts, crackers, fresh fruit and vegetables, and fresh guacomole; outstanding!

Our dive master, Fernando, provided a very thorough safety briefing/refresher course prior to the dive briefing. The dive boat was older, but in great condition. Payment preferred is cash or travelers checks. Don't forget to keep some cash aside to tip the dive operator.
