Southernmost Beach Cafe Benefit for Reef Relief & Holiday Online Auction Sunday November 18th featuring Mile Marker 24 Band

Everyone is invited to a beach party at South Beach in Key West on Sunday, November 18th from 2-6 pm, featuring Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 band. The Southernmost Beach Cafe, as it is now called, is newly renovated and under new management on the beach at the oceanside of Duval Street.

The opening of the restaurant benefits Reef Relief, the nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to protecting coral reefs and especially Reef Relief's annual fundraising Holiday Online Auction to run from Nov. 10-Dec. 15th online at www.reefrelief.org.

"This is one of those only in Key West parties with all the best elements-sand, sea, music, and great food and drink to benefit a good cause, so mark your calendar now," says Matthew Babich, who is sponsoring the event on behalf of the Southernmost Hotel Collection. "Everyone-and especially families--are invited to the beach party. There will be a barbeque, live music, and you can even do some holiday shopping to benefit coral reefs."

Computers will be set up to place bids online for the Reef Relief Holiday Online Auction, to run from November 10th through December 15, 2007, at www.reefrelief.org. "The auction is Reef Relief's biggest fundraiser of the year," notes Reef Relief's DeeVon Quirolo. "We are pleased to recognize the support of American Express, Comcast, the Key West Citizen, Southernmost Collection and Sunny Days in making the Holiday Auction possible." Reef Relief works year-round on environmental education programs, policy guidance and marine projects that make a difference for coral reefs. It is headquartered in Key West on the shores of North America's only living coral barrier reef.

The auction sales help generate funds and are a great way to showcase business supporters to a broad audience of ocean lovers who are looking for holiday gifts. Auction items include a Disney cruise, a Moorings Vacations bareboat in the Bahamas, art by Guy Harvey, David Harrison Wright, and Cuban artwork compliments of Clyde Hensley. Donations are still being accepted and all contributions are most appreciated.

So mark your calendar now to party on the beach on Sunday, November 18th and do some holiday shopping as well! For more info: contact Reef Relief (305) 294-3100, www.reefrelief.org. or Southernmost Beach Cafe at (305) 295-6550 www.southernmostbeachcafe.com.
