Scuba App Review: iNitrox

iNitrox

Version: 1.1
Price: Free
Platform: iPhone, iPod and iPad

Description: iNitrox is a Nitrox/ enriched air calculator that provides you EAD and other information for 21- to 40-percent enriched-air mixes.

Pros: This app is an extremely quick and easy-to-use tool for planning a dive or choosing a gas-mix percentage.

Cons: The slider bars are a bit difficult to use, as it’s hard for you to stop at the exact point you want to.

Bottom Line: Besides the slight frustration of getting the slider bars to the exact percentage and depth you want, this is a must-have app for Nitrox divers. Instead of the slider bars, a better idea might be a box where users could type in the number or even a set of arrows, so once you get close to the percentage Nitrox you want, you can fine tune your calculations.
