ScubaLab First Look Gear Test at Devil's Den

The Devil's Den, a prehistoric, underground sinkhole, is located in Williston, Florida, and makes a beautiful place to dive or snorkel. The spring-fed waters, which hold steady at 72 degrees F year-round, have preserved many fossils such as the bones of early man, which date back to 75,000 B.C.

Scuba Lab director, John Brumm, and Scuba Diving magazine editors, Eric Michael and Mary Frances Emmons, recently took the plunge into the cool, dark waters of the spring-fed cavern to perform ergonomic testing of new scuba gear. Scroll through the gallery above for detailed reviews of the new gear (including new equipment from Aeris, Cressi, Scubamax, Zeagle, Seasoft and Ocean Reef).
