Lahaina Divers Sleep/Dive Package, Hawaii
Dive Molokini, Lanai, Turtle Reef, the Cathaginian wreck, and the Molokini Backwall in addition to twilight /night charters every week. Lahaina Divers...
Lahaina Divers, a Hawaiian experience like none other!! For over 29 years, we've been diving Maui, Lanai and Molokini and are based in the heart of the historical village of Lahaina Town, just 3 miles from the resort area of Ka'anapali. As a PADI 5 Star IDC Center and Gold Palm Resort, Lahaina Divers offers a full range of training courses, from Open Water Diver to PADI Instructor as well as many specialty courses. Nitrox is available. Open Water Referral Training completions (from all agencies) and Discover Scuba boat dives are done daily. Lahaina Divers features two nearly identical 46 foot Newton Dive Special dive boats, Dauntless and Dominion. Custom built for us in 2003, they are USCG certified, handicap accessible, fast and comfortable. Each boat features a large marine head, fresh water shower, dry storage, dedicated camera rinse bucket and dry table, seating both on the main deck and upstairs on the flybridge.
Molokini Crater was first designated as an Underwater Marine Preserve in 1977. The crystal clear waters of this undersea treasure regularly give us 100 foot plus visibility in which to see the plentiful sea life, many of which are endemic. Whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks and manta rays are frequent visitors and the song of the Humpback Whale can be heard during the winter whale season. Lahaina Divers offers the only dive charters to Molokini originating from Lahaina Harbor.
The southern coast of the island of Lanai is the location of the Cathedrals as well as many other underwater geological formations. Lava bubbles and tubes were formed from the volcanic eruptions millions of years ago as the island was being formed. Today the tubes, bubbles, pinnacles, arches, walls and boulder fields create a divers playground teaming with fish.
Once an endangered species, the green sea turtles are the feature of our afternoon Turtle Reef dives and since it's sinking as an artificial reef in December 2005, the Carthaginian is Maui's newest dive site and also an afternoon dive.
With a late afternoon check-in, the twilight/night dive gives divers a chance to experience the reef changing from day to night.
