Cressi-sub's new four-lens mask offers maximum viewSport Diver Review Jan/Feb 2002Following on the success of its Big Eyes mask, which used patented down-angled lenses to increase the diver's field of vision, Cressi-sub now introduces the Horizon, which adds side lenses to further enhance peripheral vision. Unlike other four-lens masks, the Horizon has a very low internal volume, making it well suited not only for scuba but also for free diving. The hypoallergenic, dual-sealing skirt is designed to fit a wide range of faces, and it can be ordered in black or clear silicone for maximum light transmission. Suggested retail is $80. Raked front lenses - Cressi’s patent - allow for a 30° increase in field of vision, especially downwards. Therefore, getting changed in the water becomes an easy task: outstanding, even total visibility is offered through two side ''windows'' in the frame. However, this exceptional field of vision is no hindrance to compensation, since Horizon’s internal volume is incredibly small, even less than the standard 2-lens mask. The very thin, anatomically profiled frame is no longer visible when the mask is put on, being as light as Galileo goggles. Seal-ring all around the hypo-allergenic silicone skirt for a most comfortable fit. Strap with quickly adjustable buckle in the best tradition of all models of Cressi-sub’s masks.
