It's just another story to illustrate that the phrase Pelican Tough is more than just words.
Dear Pelican:
I have owned my Pelican M6 for over a year and I'm always astonished by how great a light it is, always working when I need it. I'm currently doing a year abroad in the United Kingdom and the M6 was one of the flashlights I brought with me. One night my girlfriend and I went on a night walk and she wanted to cut through a nearby park. Halfway through the park, I noticed a man following us so I reached into my jacket pocket and clenched my M6. A few minutes later he disappears and then reappears minutes later in front of us from behind a group of trees. In his hand he held a knife and demanded my wallet. Not wanting my girlfriend and me to be hurt, I handed it over but there was not much money in it, so he lunged for my girlfriend's purse and immediately I pulled out the M6 and shined it straight into his eyes. As he yelled and brought his hands to his face, he dropped his knife. Then I moved forward and struck his temple with the bezel of the M6 and that was enough to take him down groaning in pain, after that my girlfriend and I ran away. I have been taking martial arts for 5 years, but without the flashlight, my girlfriend or I could have been seriously wounded. It scares me to think what would have happened if I didn't have the M6 with me that night. It gave me that extra edge and helped me neutralize the thief. Oh, by the way, the light still works perfectly!
